Hot Shot Lacrosse Camp burst onto the New Jersey lacrosse scene in the summer of 2002. With the start-up of several new programs in central New Jersey, there was a need for younger players to learn the basics of the sport from the ground up. We design our program to teach players the fundamentals first, and the coaches who deliver the instruction have significant experience working with young athletes as both teachers and coaches. What gives Hot Shot an advantage over other camps is that we focus on the beginner to intermediate player. We focus our instruction on learning the right way to play the game. Our staff is also the biggest difference, as rather than using college players with little background working with kids, our staff are all led by teachers and educators with significant experience working with young people. As a result, the focus of the camp is on fun first, fundamentals second, and is completely kid-centered.
